NVIDIA announced 13 new titles that will join your RTX games line at Gamescom 2021 on Tuesday. Some of the most important games of the year will be launched with support for functions such as real-time rays and Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), including Battlefield 2042, Dying Light 2 and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be launched with support for ray and DLSS trace on October 26. The last game of the Developer Eidos-Montréal, Marvel’s Avengers, received a DLSS patch earlier this year, but has not yet received the treatment of ray tracing. . With Guardians of the Galaxy, PC players will have access to both at the launch. You can see a brief kinematics captured in 4K with an RTX 3080 above.

Reflecting on the characteristics, Olivier Proulx, Senior producer of Eidos-Montréal, said: With the incorporation of the Layer of Rays and Nvidia DLSS, PC players will enjoy the images of this impressive universe with even greater performance.

Dying Light 2 will also have both functions in the launch. The game was originally scheduled to launch at the end of 2019, but the Developer Techland delayed him indefinitely. Now, it is scheduled to arrive on December 7 with support for DLSS and ray trace. Nvidia says that both games will also be available for transmission through GeForce Now in the launch.

The MYST REMAKE is also receiving DLSS and ray tracing, and is scheduled to arrive on August 26. It is one of the few games that will admit DLSS and FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) of AMD. With luck, we will see more dual support in the future. Currently, only a couple of titles, namely, Marvel’s Avengers and Necromunda: Hirered Gun, are compatible with FSR and DLSS.

MYST will also admit DLSS in its VR mode. According to NVIDIA numbers, it jumped from 59 tables per second (FPS) to 90 fps in an Oculus Quest 2 with maximum configuration.

Of the 13 games, Battlefield 2042 is a bit fiasco. It will be launched with support for DLSS and NVIDIA REFLEX, which we already knew, but not with ray tracing. Battlefield V was one of the first examples of NVIDIA RTX technologies, so it is unfortunate that it does not continue the trend with the next Battlefield launch. Even so, NVIDIA announced that people who buy selected RTX desktops or laptops will receive the game free of charge.

Those are the big hitters, but Nvidia talked about more games. Here are all the next titles and the functions they will admit:

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – Ray Tracing and DLSS Dying Light 2 – Ray Tracing and DLSS Battlefield 2042 – DLSS and Reflex Myst – Ray Tracing and DLSS Chivalry 2 – DLSS Grit: Wild West Battle Royale – DLSS Black Myth: Wukong – DLSS The Ascent – Ray Tracing and DLSS Synced: Off-Planet – Ray Tracing and DLSS Bright Memory: Infinity – Ray Tracing and DLSS Loopmancance – Ray Tracing and DLSS Faraday Protocol – DLSS Naraka: BladePoint – DLSS and Reflex

Nvidia also announced some preparations before the launch of Steam Deck at the end of this year. Nvidia recently launched support for DLSS in Proton, which is a compatibility layer that NVIDIA USA for Linux. However, it was only launched with support for Games that use Vulkan, including Doom Eternal and not Man’s Sky.

The next month, NVIDIA will also expand the support for DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games. Most DLSS games use DirectX, so this is a big problem for compatibility. NVIDIA highlighted control, Cyberpunk 2077 and Death Stranding, but dozens more DirectX games are also compatible with DLSS.
