Wolf had taken over the VFR in March 2021 and led to the table in the table. The term Wolf, who had worked in various functions at the TSG Hoffenheim, at TSV 1860 Munich, in Ingolstadt, Kassel and Burghausen after his active career (90 Bundesliga missions), before he came to Aalen, was away from some negative occurrences away from of the square. Last December last December, the club had sharply rejected by his head trainer after being publicly criticized the association and even threatened with his resignation. Most recently, Wolf vehement demanded the obligation of a physiotherapist and later made headlines because after the 1-2 defeat against Balingen demanded a minimum age for referees.

Wolf’s succession is Christian Demirtas to the end of the season. The 39-year-old, who formed earlier for Mainz and Karlsruhe in the 1st and 2nd league, had encountered the coaching staff of the VFR in the summer of 2019. His assistant becomes U-19 head coach Petar Kosturkov. In the Regionalliga Südwest, the VFR is currently on the 10th place, six points in front of the descent zone.
