Announced for the first time at E3 2017, Ubisoft confirms that the Pirates Skull and Bones game will be released on November 8, 2022 on PlayStation 5 platforms, Xbox Series X | S, Stadia and on PC. Note that Ubisoft confirms the cross-game support (Crossplay) between the platforms. The game is also planned for the Amazon Luna platform later.
Here are the details as published by Ubisoft during the Ubisoft Forward presentation:
_Developed by Ubisoft Singapore, in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, Skull and Bones will invite players to write their own destiny, from simple outbursts to real legendary pirate captains. To do this, they will have to develop their infamy during thrilling naval fights and prolific expeditions in a world full of mysteries and dangers.
_ All as in legendary stories, players will be able to live an authentic and exciting pirate life. From the completion of contracts to the collection of resources, including navigation on large commercial roads and the attack on rich merchant ships, each decision will influence their trip, with risk levels and variable rewards. As they develop their infamy, players will be able to constitute and personalize their naval fleet and unlock a variety of new objects throughout the game._
The game is inspired by one of the deadliest periods in history: the end of the 17th century. Considered the second golden age of piracy, this period opens the way to a chaotic and ruthless era of pirates, war factions, powerful organizations and empires that compete for power in the wild paradise of ‘Indian Ocean.
Chaque travels to the world of Skull and Bones will be unique. Players will be able to extend their empire by associating with two friends or players they will meet at sea. For a biggest challenge, they will be able to activate the PVP mode and cross iron with captains in the making, powerful organizations, local factions or even rival pirates.
_S’apputant on an ambitious post-launch plan that will extend over several years, the game will be regularly updated with new content, activities, stories and challenges, free for all players.
SKull and Bones will be available on November 8, 2022 in two editions, standard and premium, on PlayStation 5, Xbox X | S and on PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, Stadia and Amazon Luna*. The premium edition will include the Bloody Bones stroll collection which will introduce a range of cosmetic items for the captain and ships as well as additional digital content including two additional missions, a digital art book, the soundtrack of the game as well that a token to get the smuggler’s pass from one of the seasons of the game to choose from.
